Every day across Rhode Island, children are removed from their homes by the state and placed with foster parents who care for them temporarily. In some cases, these children arrive in foster care with only the clothes on their backs, and their foster parents are in need of the proper clothing in which to dress them.
Whether it’s an emergency placement, lasting a couple of days, or a long-term placement, lasting a couple of months or more, we’ll help to provide foster parents with the clothing essentials-items like pajamas, coats and hats, and shoes and boots-they need for the children in their care through our clothing bank.
To request clothing for a foster child in your care, please contact Stacy Smith, Family Support Specialist, at 401.438.3900 ext. 124.
