Doesn’t every young person deserve a holiday present?
WE THINK SO.
For nearly 20 years, Foster Forward has sponsored a Holiday Gifts Campaign, in partnership with Rhode Island’s Department of Children, Youth and Families. This campaign is powered by the generosity of the Rhode Island community. Foster children, from birth through age 12, receive brand new toys through the Hasbro Giving Tree and hats and mittens from the Providence Journal’s Santa Fund. Foster teens create personalized holiday wish lists, and individuals and families, businesses, churches and schools provide gifts from these lists. Each year, thanks to the kindness of hundreds of Rhode Islanders, children and teens in foster care experience the joy of being remembered during the holiday season.
BUY A GIFT FOR A TEEN
When you purchase a gift from a foster teen’s wish list, you’re making his or her holiday season brighter. Please contact Christina Jagolinzer, Development Director, at 401.438.3900 ext. 128, so we can provide you with a teen’s age, interests, and special requests. There are also opportunities for individuals or groups to adopt an adolescent group home to provide gifts for the residents there.
