Works WondersTM is a career development and employment engagement program that provides 10-12 hours of training to enhance skills of youth affected by foster care, 12 weeks of one-on-one career coaching and paid work-based learning opportunities.
An employment specialist works with you to explore your career interests, build a plan for reaching your career interests, build a plan for reaching your career and education goals, as well as build and practice skills to use in the real world of work.
Any youth who:
Youth receive $50 upon completing the E2 training.
Youth receive 10-12 hours of E2 training and 12 weeks of one-on-one career coaching.
Youth receives career portfolio development and paid work-based learning opportunities, such as internships, job shadows and informal interviews.
Youth must complete the E2training and be meeting with their Employment Specialist in order to be eligible for the paid work experiences and the stipend.
Youth can self-refer or be referred by their case worker, by contacting the Program Coordinator.
