Welcome Kristen McLean to the Foster Forward Board of Directors

Foster Forward is proud to welcome Kristen McLean to our Board of Directors.

Kristen brings more than 25 years of legal experience as both in-house and outside counsel. She currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island, where she oversees the organization’s legal, compliance, and risk functions and is a member of the executive leadership team. Prior to her role at BCBSRI, Kristen worked as in-house counsel at a real estate development firm and as a litigation associate at a large law firm in Boston.

Kristen was introduced to Foster Forward several years ago through a colleague and later had the opportunity to participate in volunteer activities with our organization. Through those experiences, she saw firsthand the impact Foster Forward has for young people, particularly youth aging out of the foster care system.

She is excited to join the Board of Directors to support Foster Forward’s mission and to help advance our bold goals around developing much-needed affordable housing for youth and families.
