Community Storefront

The Community Storefront is a space where foster youth and families can shop for donated materials, like new and gently used clothing, toys, and other household essentials.

The Storefront is available for:

  • All foster parents in Rhode Island who need clothing and other items for new or emergency placements

  • Foster Forward youth participants who have recently aged out of foster care and are setting up their first apartment

  • Foster Forward youth participants who are pregnant or parenting

In addition, our Storefront is a hub of activity, particularly during the holiday season where we host our annual Toy Distribution. In recent years, we’ve donated over 9,000 toys to local foster families and hundreds of pairs of pajamas, as well as clothing, books, and other household items.

The Storefront is open at select times for shopping. Please see our Calendar for dates, times, and events.

Here’s a sampling of what you might find at the Storefront:

  • New or very gently used clothing, sizes newborn to adult (washed and sorted by size)

  • Underwear, undershirts, socks in unopened packages

  • Games and puzzles that have not been opened

  • Gently used or new toys

  • Children’s books and books on parenting

  • Essential household items, like cooking utensils, dish sets, pots, pans, dish towels, etc.

  • Small appliances in good working condition

  • Disposable diapers and unopened baby wipes

  • New pillows and bed linens

*Note: Our inventory is always rotating and based off of the donations we receive.
