A Night to Remember: 30 Years of Empowering Futures
I am still in awe of what we shared together at Foster Forward’s 30th Anniversary Gala. It was an unforgettable evening, filled with joy, reflection, and community, and together we raised a net of $425,000, setting a new fundraising record for our organization.
In the weeks leading up to the gala, our team was buzzing with activity—late nights were spent double-checking seating charts and updating auction items, while staff and volunteers created beautiful centerpieces filled with over 200,000 Orbeez and folded programs. On the night itself, I walked around the room listening to the chatter and laughter and thought: this is what thirty years of community looks like.
As I said that night, this mission has empowered me as well. Over the past 22 years, I’ve found my purpose and my family here, alongside colleagues, partners, and friends who make this work a privilege every single day. What moved me most at the gala was seeing the living embodiment of Empowered to Empower. We didn’t just celebrate 30 years of impact; we saw the incredible ripple effect of youth who once found their voices through Foster Forward now stepping up as mentors, parents, caseworkers, leaders, and even co-hosts of the evening.
I invite you to watch our gala video below, which captures those stories of empowerment and reminds us why your support matters so deeply.
This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts of many people. To our generous sponsors, thank you for investing in brighter futures. To every attendee and donor, thank you for showing up with such heart. And to our staff and volunteers, thank you for pouring your time, talent, and energy into making the evening such a success.
As we look back on 30 years, I feel overwhelming gratitude for each of you who has charted this course with us. Together, we are not only empowering young people to thrive today, but we are also building a community where they, in turn, empower others.
With Gratitude,
Lisa Guillette
